One of Matt's first steps with outfitting this truck is protecting the bed and the gear we plan on keeping in it. We're turning to the Revolver X4s Hard Rolling Bed Cover from our friends over at RealTruck yet again for this one! Learn more about this incredible tonneau cover here
We originally installed this tonneau cover on Matt's 2023 Raptor and it operated perfectly while giving the truck's bed a sleek, 'out-of-sight, out-of-mind' look. The Revolver X4s combines the pros of soft rolling bed covers and hard folding covers, with none of the cons from either. While it's not one of the cheapest options out there when it comes to tonneau covers, that's for a good reason.Constructed out of high grade aluminum extrusion/components and topped with a durable leatherette fabric material, this bed cover is designed to withstand the elements and keep your items locked away discretely.Similar to most other tonneau covers, the Revolver X4s has two side rails and a roll that attaches to the side rails at the front of the bed. This one is unique though because it sits almost flush within the bedsides, making for an extremely low-profile look. It is also much more rugged than it looks! This cover isn't powered or designed to spring back into a canister when opened, and that's one of the reasons why we like it so much. There's less things that can break and go wrong with the cover, which would leave our cargo unprotected. We'll happily take 15 seconds to roll up the cover manually if it means it'll be reliable for longer! The cover's rail mechanism locks evenly all the way along the bedsides, which truly sets the X4s apart when it comes to security. It would take a very determined criminal to pry into a bed with this cover installed. The installation process was ridiculously smooth, it definitely took less than 30 minutes to put on, and it required minimal micro-adjustments or repositioning. Plus it looks incredibly sleek and unsuspecting once rolled closed... this X4s cover truly combines the best of all worlds when it comes to all things tonneau. Once we wrapped up with installing the Revolver X4s, Matt jumped right into cutting and applying our signature BuiltRight vinyl decals on the Raptor's doors. This happens to be our R&D Engineering Test Vehicle #16 - see our other trucks here!
