Introducing the BuiltRight Industries Bedside Rack System for the 2009 to 2019 classic RAM truck. Two variations, one for the 5’7” bed and one for the 6’4” bed, are currently available and the installation of each panel involves installing 4 rivet nuts in the bedside of your truck. These large panels provide a large flat mounting surface, perfect for a variety of clamps, mounts and just about any attachment that you can dream up. Use these MOLLE panels to secure your most important items out of the way but ready for use.

In the 4th Gen RAM lineup, the inner bedsides of the truck offer no threaded mounting points for accessories. After much experimentation, we found that the correct solution to this is for users to install rivet nuts using the included drill templates. This design uses 4 rivet nuts per panel, for a total of 8 to install a full side kit. The BuiltRight Bedside Rack System then installs securely using these mounting points. The panels provide MOLLE-compatible features for the use of MOLLE/PALS accessories in addition to universal slots for an infinite number of possibilities.

  • Laser cut and CNC punched/formed for perfect fit
  • Black texture powdercoat for corrosion resistance
  • Extremely durable 11ga steel construction
  • MOLLE/PALS compatible mounting features
  • Patented U.S. Patent No. 10,933,796 B2, additional patents pending

Kit Includes:

  • 1x Front panel (compatible with driver and passenger side)
  • 1x Panel support brackets
  • 1x Hardware Kit

  • Ram 1500 & 2500 (2009 - 2019 classic), 5'7" bed
  • NOTE: Check your bedside. If it has a series of 8 hexagonal holes in it already, you need our 2019-current version of this kit.

Installation involves installing eight (8) rivet nuts into holes drilled using the procedure outlined in step-by-step detail below. Watch Matt install these in a 2018 Powerwagon and see for yourself how straight-forward the process can be.

*** Note, this installation has changed slightly since the video was filmed, based on feedback from customers. Please view the written PDF installation guide for the latest, as we work to update the video. ***

Note: In many cases, our bedside racks are not compatible with drop-in bedliners. This is because those liners don't normally follow the contours of the bed closely enough. Please contact customer service with specific questions.

Make your Bed

Keep your most important gear organized and out of the way for when life throws you a curveball, whether that's an adventurous 'detour' or an unexpected trip to Costco.

The Original

The term MOLLE has become a bit of a buzzword in recent years and many imitation products have latched onto it, simply cutting square or rectangles into their products. The BuiltRight 'Block and Slot' pattern offers slotted features, designed for use with common 1/4" mounting hardware in addition to correct MIL-SPEC MOLLE/PALS features. Finally, the BuiltRight MOLLE Nuts (sold separately) offer an additional mounting location with a 1/4-20 threaded hole for easy installation.

Built Right, Right Here

Each Bedside Rack Panel is manufactured using high-grade 1/8" thick steel plate and is CNC cut and formed for perfect fit every time. All panels are finished with a durable texture black powdercoat for a factory look and feel.

The Design Process

BuiltRight is an engineering company before all else and we're obsessed with great mechanical design. Each product has a story of ideas, innovation and iteration until it's just right.

Your Bedside Rack System started as a 3D scan of multiple truck beds, in order to understand the manufacturing tolerances that Ford, GM, etc hold themselves to. We then use that data along with CAD files provided by our OEM partners to design parts that will fit your truck perfectly.

Finally, we test those parts using finite element analysis on the computer before sending them out to our network of product testers around the world. Real-world testing happens in Baja, on ranches and jobsites across the country and on the icy, salty roads from the Midwest to the Northeast.

Buy with Confidence

Consider this a no-BS, satisfaction guaranteed, no questions asked promise. Here's the thing - you won't need it. On average, we process one warranty claim for every 9,827 products we ship.
