Great looking and strong mount. Not sure if it's cause it's the 6 inch model and it's so long that is has so much slack but the mount moves left to right when I'm sticking my phone in the holder. I didn't imagine it to have any slop at all. But maybe I'm expecting too much?

Hey Ryan, More than likely this is due to the tolerance between the tabs on the base (consistent) and the slot width (less consistent due to the manual application of powder coating). I installed 2 phone holders on my dash mount tray. Very easy to install and they hold the phones at the perfect height. It feels much safer when driving and I need to take a quick glance at the screen. We tow our RV and monitor the tires through an app on the phone. No more looking down at the cup holder type. These phone holders are very sturdy. No shaking!

I purchased the Ford Ranger base and the Mountech phone bundle with the 6” arm. We are talking solid! Really easy to install and very adjustable. My phone doesn’t move in the holder even on rough roads. Only concern is with one adjusting knob on the 6” arm, turning the phone from vertical to horizontal it loosens both ends of the arm. This makes it harder to hold and adjust. Overall the quality is amazing, small business and made in the states! Another great product from BuiltRight! Keep up the good work.

United StatesPerformance is fab!, EXACTLY as promised
I recently installed an F-150 dash mount (with backer plate) in my 2018 crew Cab. The install went just as the video showed. It took a few tries to get both 1” balls onto the proper (for me) spot on the mount itself. Now … my GARMIN GPS is solidly mounted, no movement, no wiggle, no giggle whatsoever! Likewise the passenger position cell phone mount is equally solid. I can adjust upper (phone end) so I can easily see my phone. AND my wife can adjust so she can easily see her phone, while seated in front passenger position. Fabulous! Couldn’t be happier!

I have a 24 Maverick and this was the first part I had to get. I used a Bulletpoint dash mount, only because Buildright doesn’t make one! Please make a mount with a back plate attached to the head unit bolts. Anyway, got the phone mount attached with a MagSafe ball attachment, and it simplifies the transition of getting into my car every time. No more fumbling with my phone or putting it down in the cupholder. I get into the car and I’ve got a solid connection, it doesn’t move anywhere. It sticks and it works. My wife even enjoys driving my car so that she can use the mount with her own phone. It’s great for having a second screen for directions on long trips. This mount is a quality of life improvement. You’ll notice it from the first time you pop your phone on it. It’s slick.

It was great, the product built solid. The con is the locking nut in the center of the mount. The mount still wiggles from side to side, but it does not bother me. Maybe it needs a locking nut on both ends to solve the issue.

Hey Ernesto, We've had a couple other customers experience the same, tolerance variance in either the dash mount slot or the machined base. Working to ensure this issue is not repeated down the road.
