The first product we ever engineered, the Builtright Industries Rear seat release was made to make your life easier. It’s a simple solution to accessing the area behind the rear seat backs of your truck. Designed with an OEM-inspired nylon pull strap, releasing the rear seat latch is effortless. The bracket firmly holds the latch pull in place and also guides the strap towards the top of the seat for easy reaching. It works hard so you don’t have to.

  • 2009 - 2024 F-150 and Raptor (see ‘engineering’ tab)
  • 2017 - 2024 F-250, F-350 (see ‘engineering’ tab)
  • Laser cut and CNC formed for perfect fit
  • Bracket black zinc coated for corrosion resistance
  • NEW Glass fiber reinforced composite pull tab
  • Nylon strap hand sewn to latch pull

Engineering

2009 - 2014 F-150/Raptor Supercrew: These models can utilize two latch release kits (one each side of the 60/40 rear seat).

2015 - 2024 F-150/Raptor Supercab and Supercrew: These models store OEM tool kit behind the passenger side seat and use one latch release kit for the driver's side.

2017-2024 F-250 and F-350 Supercab and Supercrew: These models will utilize a single kit on the driver's side.

Install

Installation of our Rear Seat Release takes just a few minutes using a T30 torx bit and something like a closed end wrench to release the seat latch. Check out our video below!

Impossible - Now we know why Ford didn't make this latch for using.

Impossible to get that re-latched. Followed all instructions on relatching and this is a nightmare. Wish I never purchased this, I have brand new truck with backseat flapping... Skip this ****** device the amount of space isn't worth the relatching issues.

Great idea

Overall install was easy I just don’t like how hard I need to slam the seat back to latch it otherwise I would’ve gave a 5 star rating

Secret storage latch

What a game changer this is. So nice to be able to easily access the storage behind the rear seats. The blue handle matches my interior. Also a pretty easy install. Awesome product.

Great product, easy install

Quick and easy to install, just watch the video, the tips are useful, I did get hung up getting the seat to latch back just like the video said might happen, just be patient it’ll work!!
