The Design Process
BuiltRight is an engineering company before all else and we're obsessed with great mechanical design. Each product has a story of ideas, innovation and iteration until it's just right.
Each dash mount design begins with 3D scanning of the truck and dash components. We check those scans against OEM CAD models to be safe and then design a mount that fits perfectly, functions well and blends in with the dash of the vehicle. Our goal is to add function to your dash, not an eyesore.
We examine the rigidity of the dash and the amount of deflection each Dash Mount sees during normal and extreme use with a goal of reducing movement and above all else, ensuring that in the event of an accident, your device stays within reach.

Excellent overall experience. Due to a number of install videos, I was prepared for the dash mount to not match the template exactly and I knew to bend it until it matched three of fours hole and then used the dash mount itself as the template for the last hole. Super solid pro mount is stronger than the dash panel it is mounted to.

Dash mount was easy to install. Followed your online video. No problem removing dash tray. I did use trim tools. Tools needed a little different. Mount bolts reg 3mm Allen and 8mm wrench. 30 min install.

Solid design that fits our F-150 dash perfectly. I was going to DIY a mounting plate but for the quality and price, this is a much better solution. Now I can focus on attachments and mounting the accessories where I need them. I did substitute fender washers on the forward screws to compensate for the lifting force of accessories on long lever arms.

I paired with the the backing plate and some Brass M5 7mm standoffs from Amazon. This allowed me to customize the height the mount sat at. I used my mount for a HAM radio, by adding two different Standoff heights I was able to angle the mount to perfectly fit my radio underneath, and still fully utilize the top of the mount. As an added bonus you can use a low profile RAM ball mount on each side to mount a phone holder.
