The first product we ever engineered, the BuiltRight Industries Rear seat release was made to make your life easier. It’s a simple solution to accessing the area behind the rear seat backs of your truck. Designed with an OEM-inspired nylon pull strap, releasing the rear seat latch is effortless. The bracket firmly holds the latch pull in place and also guides the strap towards the top of the seat for easy reaching. It works hard so you don’t have to.

2009 - 2024 F-150 and Raptor (see ‘engineering’ tab)
2017 - 2024 F-250, F-350 (see ‘engineering’ tab)
Laser cut and CNC formed for perfect fit
Bracket black zinc coated for corrosion resistance
NEW Glass fiber reinforced composite pull tab
Nylon strap hand sewn to latch pull

Engineering

2009 - 2014 F-150/Raptor SuperCrew: These models can utilize two latch release kits (one each side of the 60/40 rear seat).

2015 - 2024 F-150/Raptor Super Cab and SuperCrew: These models store OEM tool kit behind the passenger side seat and use one latch release kit for the driver's side.

2017 - 2024 F-250 and F-350 Super Cab and SuperCrew: These models will utilize a single kit on the driver's side.

Install

Installation of our Rear Seat Release takes just a few minutes using a T30 torx bit and something like a closed end wrench to release the seat latch. Check out our video below!

Ford F150 rear seat release kit

The release kit is an excellent product. It makes me wonder why Ford doesn't install a release kit when manufacturing the truck. It was easy to order and just as easy to install. The installation video by BuiltRight is excellent. I would highly recommend the BuiltRight Ford F150 rear seat release kit to anyone wanting easy access to the area behind the rear seat.

A little bump in storage.

It does exactly what it’s intended to do. Unfortunately I got it for my 2024 just to find the heated seat module and a subwoofer behind the seat. So not really adding much storage space.
