I got this because I am getting a camper on my truck which will bend the factory antenna which is longer. I unscrewed factory antenna and ******* this short antenna built by BuiltRight no problem. As far as reception of radio stations I have not noticed a difference and the channels are coming in clear. Nice product and nice solution for those who need a shorter antenna for their Ford Ranger. - G Reckner
