Built Right, Right Here
Our License Plate Relocation Kits are manufactured from 12ga steel that's zinc plated and powder coating for corrosion resistance. Composite parts, if applicable, are injection molded from a glass fiber reinforced nylon.
BuiltRight is an engineering company before all else and we're obsessed with great mechanical design. Each product has a story of ideas, innovation and iteration until it's just right.
One of the ways that we keep our License Plate Relocation Kits affordable is to use the same 'backing plate' on all of them. This plate offers a large number of slots and adjustment but it's important to understand that depending on your vehicle, that adjustment may be limited.
Many new vehicles feature ultrasonic proximity sensors which help with parking and obstacle avoidance. Each of our kits is designed and tested with this in mind. Installation may require some care to ensure that sensors aren't obstructed, but there will always be a location where there is no issue. If you have trouble finding it, just reach out and our experts can help!

Industry-best Customer Support
Solid. Highly recommend for your Rivian
Fit is great, solid pieces that add to the look for the front plate when you don’t want to drill into the bumper for the license plate holder. Have to adjust just right or the parking sensors will go off constantly.
Overpriced and poor design
I was really excited for this product and pre ordered. When it arrived I was surprised that there were no instructions or tools included. It was easy enough to figure out how to put together, but has taken alot of trial and error to find the right orientation of the bracket so that it doesn’t set off either of the adjacent front sensors. (Spoiler: I still haven’t found it, and it might not exist) What surprised me most was that the front license plate bracket was plastic. For a company that prides itself on metal fabrication, it was dumbfounding that they put their name on a plastic license plate holder. Happy that I have a better option than drilling holes in my bumper, but would look for a different product next time. Way overpriced for the holistic quality of the package.
Hey Morgan, Firstly, sorry to hear you were having issues getting your kit installed, did you reach out to out customer support team via phone, email or chat? We have these on over 100 vehicle so far with no sensor issues, there is a lot of adjustability in the backer plate. We have an installation video below that give you a step by step installation. We chose to go with a fiber reinforced injection molded main mounting bracket. This ensure that the finish on your tow hook is not marred. The backer plate is made of powder coated mild steel to support the plate and we add in a couple complimentary plastic plate frames should you feel the need to help represent our brand. In the end, if you are unhappy with the kit we'll happily take it back, just say the word. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oQoi47uLynA Matt Homes Customer Service Manager builtrightind.com
This offset license plate bracket looks amazing on my R1S, it’s SOLID build quality, can be mounted easily and adjusted so it doesn’t affect the sensors. It’s worth every penny. Thank you guys for making a great product and building it right here in the United States, it was worth the wait!
It looks great on the car, was fairly easy to install. And it appears to be made of very high quality materials. The video instructions were easy to follow and clear. Well done.
Interferes with R1T sensors
The plate holder is overly complex and over designed. Worst part is that it is very difficult to install in a position that doesn't interfere with the radar sensors in the bumper. The clamp should be larger to only be install in one position on the tow hook, similarly the panel should have the ideal location clearly identified.

Arrived quickly and immediately clear it's high quality. No installation instructions provided, but was pretty obvious how to attach.
