Built Right, Right Here
Our License Plate Relocation Kits are manufactured from 12ga steel that's zinc plated and powder coating for corrosion resistance. Composite parts, if applicable, are injection molded from a glass fiber reinforced nylon.
BuiltRight is an engineering company before all else and we're obsessed with great mechanical design. Each product has a story of ideas, innovation and iteration until it's just right.
One of the ways that we keep our License Plate Relocation Kits affordable is to use the same 'backing plate' on all of them. This plate offers a large number of slots and adjustment but it's important to understand that depending on your vehicle, that adjustment may be limited.
Many new vehicles feature ultrasonic proximity sensors which help with parking and obstacle avoidance. Each of our kits is designed and tested with this in mind. Installation may require some care to ensure that sensors aren't obstructed, but there will always be a location where there is no issue. If you have trouble finding it, just reach out and our experts can help!

Thanks for posting the mounting location
I appreciate you guys posting the article on exactly where to locate the bracket so the plate wouldn’t interfere with the sensors. I went freestyle on my first attempt and the sensors went bonkers. I then placed it where your photo showed, and it works great. Quality is top notch, as have been all of your products. Thanks!

Great option to drilling into plastic bumper
It was a bit tricky finding the right spot to mount it. It would have been much easier if I didn’t have to drive the Rivian a bit before the sensor went off indicating it was being blocked.

Adjust, Adjust, Adjust
The build quality of this seems great and the main mounting points are clearly custom built for this vehicle. Installation is fairly straightforward and really only takes a few minutes but finding just the right spot that won't set off the sensors is a bit annoying. I mounted and unmounted about 10 times before getting it just right. Unfortunately there is no way to make minor adjustments without loosening every screw. Was starting to think I would have to trim the license plate but finally found the sweet spot.

Hey Josh, Sorry to hear the kit was giving you a bit of troubles. The below article shows the exact placement needed for the Rivian kit, they are very sensitive and the sensors have a very small window for error in placement. https://support.builtrightind.com/hc/en-us/articles/14604380737684-Adjusting-Rivian-the-license-plate-mount-and-relocation-bracket -Matt Homes Customer Service Manager Builtrightind.com

Well made, steep price
It seems well made, but at this price I would have preferred to buy from a retailer that doesn’t add shipping on top.
BuiltRight Industries
Hey Jason, Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback on the product and experience. We don't bake shipping costs into the product price like a lot of other companies do out there. Many of those solutions are made overseas and their margins are might higher allowing them to offer free shipping every day of the year. -Matt Homes Customer Service Manager Builtrightind.com

Great but install
Product is solidly built. But getting it in the right spot is a real hassle took a lot of tries before getting it to a point we’re it doesn't set the sensors in the truck off.
BuiltRight Industries
Hey David, Yes, the Rivian sensors have a pretty darn small blind spot you need to keep the kit within. Below is an article that shows the exact slot needed form the bracket to backer plate to avoid tripping the sensors. Hope this helped! https://support.builtrightind.com/hc/en-us/articles/14604380737684-Adjusting-the-license-plate-mount-and-relocation-bracket -Matt Homes Customer Service Manager Builtrightind.com

Looks Great, good build
Mounted on passenger side tow hook. You will need to spend some time positioning it almost perfectly between the two sensors otherwise it will alarm. Looks great, feels solid, really enjoyed not drilling holes in my bumper.

Nice concept. Bad execution.
Everything was fine until I realized that no matter how many adjustments you make, there is no way to mount this thing that won’t set off the bumper sensors.

Hey Adam, We have these kits on 100's of Rivians not but there is a very specific mounting location you need to adhere to to not trip the sensors. Check out the article below. It provides the exact placement needed for the bracket to backer plate connection. Solid
Fits great. Got it to work with minor adjustment to avoid sensor by moving it more toward the outside of the bumper. There's also a YouTube video

Exactly as Advertised
Install not difficult. The on-line video was very helpful.
