The first product we ever engineered, the BuiltRight Industries Rear seat release was made to make your life easier. It’s a simple solution to accessing the area behind the rear seat backs of your truck. Designed with an OEM-inspired nylon pull strap, releasing the rear seat latch is effortless. The bracket firmly holds the latch pull in place and also guides the strap towards the top of the seat for easy reaching. It works hard so you don’t have to.

Prior to ordering, please feel free to follow the installation guide and lower the seat back to check on the amount of available space in your truck!

2009 - 2014 F-150/Raptor Supercrew: These models can utilize two latch release kits (one each side of the 60/40 rear seat).

2015 - 2024 F-150/Raptor Supercab and Supercrew: These models store OEM tool kit behind the passenger side seat and use one latch release kit for the driver's side.

2017 - 2024 F-250 and F-350 Supercab and Supercrew: These models will utilize a single kit on the driver's side.

Install

Installation of our Rear Seat Release takes just a few minutes using a T30 torx bit and something like a closed end wrench to release the seat latch. Check out our video below!

Back seat access

Had my truck for 7 years and gave up trying to figure out how to lower the seat for access. seen this product and install on 2 trucks. great idea and product. (affordable Too)

2011 F150 Rear Seat Back Release

I'm so glad BuiltRight created their seat release device. Installation was a snap...start to finish was about 10 minutes. I cannot fathom why Ford didn't install a release strap for the rear seat back in the first place. Poor engineering or something. It's funny because Ford installed child seat anchor straps just a few inches form the seat back latch...go figure! BuiltRight has filled the gap perfectly. Accessing the extra storage space behind the seat was a pain before I found these. Thanks BuiltRight!!!

Rear seat release latch

I got one for my 2016 F-150. The instructional video was the best I've ever seen. It is well done and very informative. It's easy to follow and the instructor is very thorough. The installation went vent very smoothly. The latch release works like a charm and has opened up more space in the truck. I highly recommend this product.
