Built Right, Right Here
Our License Plate Relocation Kits are manufactured from 12ga steel that's zinc plated and powder coating for corrosion resistance. Composite parts, if applicable, are injection molded from a glass fiber reinforced nylon.
BuiltRight is an engineering company before all else and we're obsessed with great mechanical design. Each product has a story of ideas, innovation and iteration until it's just right.
One of the ways that we keep our License Plate Relocation Kits affordable is to use the same 'backing plate' on all of them. This plate offers a large number of slots and adjustment but it's important to understand that depending on your vehicle, that adjustment may be limited.
Many new vehicles feature ultrasonic proximity sensors which help with parking and obstacle avoidance. Each of our kits is designed and tested with this in mind. Installation may require some care to ensure that sensors aren't obstructed, but there will always be a location where there is no issue. If you have trouble finding it, just reach out and our experts can help!

Rivian License Plate Mount
Looks good, easy to install, just have to keep the plate out of the way of the sensors.
Easy to install, looks great!
What more can I say? The installation video made the process super clear. I put my Rivian in drive to test sensor interference and had to make a couple adjustments. Still completed in about 15 minutes.
Easy installation with no interference with the sensors
Works as Design
Easy to install. Works as designed. Most of the time doesn’t interfere with sensors, but randomly one of my sensors will trigger when driving. I haven’t had time to try and adjust, but the issue has only happened twice in the first 2 weeks.

Good quality bad design
Good luck installing this without randomly triggering the parking sensors. Adjusting is not trivial and after almost a dozen attempts just gave up. Look at other options, no returns just suggestions to keep trying.

Pricey But Works..Great Customer Service
Works just fine..but man it's crazy expensive for what it is. Takes a bit of tweaking to get it not to set off the sensors. Watch the video on the FAQs and it'll take 5 mins to setup.

Hey Andrew, We hear you on the cost. To give you a bit more insight, the tooling needed for the FRP mounting brackets is about a $20,000 investment for us up front before we sold a single kit, plus the rest of the R&D time. We also make these parts here stateside, many others don't. By purchasing our products, you support small American family owned business, with US design and manufacturing. -Matt Homes Customer Service Manager Buiiltrightind.com
When this is mounted it interferes with the sensors on the Rivian. Not a good solution

struggling to find the perfect spot
As title says, i’m struggling. Probably spend more than 1hr counting multiple attempts. I followed exact instructions and the spot shown. Product looks and feels awesome if I can find a spot without triggering sensors.

Thanks for posting the mounting location
I appreciate you guys posting the article on exactly where to locate the bracket so the plate wouldn’t interfere with the sensors. I went freestyle on my first attempt and the sensors went bonkers. I then placed it where your photo showed, and it works great. Quality is top notch, as have been all of your products. Thanks!
Great option to drilling into plastic bumper
It was a bit tricky finding the right spot to mount it. It would have been much easier if I didn’t have to drive the Rivian a bit before the sensor went off indicating it was being blocked.
