The Design Process
BuiltRight is an engineering company before all else and we're obsessed with great mechanical design. Each product has a story of ideas, innovation and iteration until it's just right.
Each dash mount design begins with 3D scanning of the truck and dash components. We check those scans against OEM CAD models to be safe and then design a mount that fits perfectly, functions well and blends in with the dash of the vehicle. Our goal is to add function to your dash, not an eyesore.
We examine the rigidity of the dash and the amount of deflection each Dash Mount sees during normal and extreme use with a goal of reducing movement and above all else, ensuring that in the event of an accident, your device stays within reach.

United StatesDash Mount Pro Install
The product looks great and I am happy. I love the step-by-step video instructions. Initially, however, I could only find the Dash Mount STANDARD video instructions but, finally, found the Pro. The video advises that all 5 screws are NOT necessary, I should've listened. It was very difficult. However, I did get it installed. I could not find a video on the actual phone holder arm installation. I figured it out though. Likewise, I remembered a prior video that suggested installing the phone holder ball joint prior to competing the Dash Mount installation. The install video should really remind users of this step. This is my second BuiltRight purchase. Fantastic product and installation made easy with great video support.

United StatesDoes NOT fit all 21+ F150’s
I purchased this for my 2022 F150 Police Responder, which obviously is my work truck. I was over the suction cup mounts for my gps and phone always coming undone. I got the Pro model of this because I wanted a more secure mount, since my truck is used in rough terrain, as well as my LE duties. My truck does not have the center dash speaker like in the install video. The dash panel that is removed to install this had 4 screws, not 2 like the video, not a big deal. When attempting to install the mounting plate, I noticed the truck’s under-dash hardware is way different than the truck used in the install video. I could not install the plate the way the video showed. I had to get two nuts that were big enough for the dash bolts to slide through to use as spacers to raise the plate up high enough to clear the dash hardware. Once installed, the plate was at about a 30° angle and would not allow for the dash cover to be reinstalled. So I had to put the mounting plate into my vice and bent the two tabs that mount to the dash so that it angled the plate more flat/level with the dash. I also had to bend the top center tab (the center screw hole for the mount that’s closed to the radio/hazard light button), bent it down to further flated the panel. I then installed the plate on top of the spacers, then I was able to install the dash panel and then the mount. Once installed, it looks great and I’m very happy with it. However, it was a pain to install and required modifications and took way longer to install because of that. So buyers beware.

Hey David, Correct, these do NOT fit the police interceptor trim levels, they have brackets in the dash for what assumable is for speed enforcement devices. Had the product not been modified to fit your needs, we could definitely take it back and issue a refund for the product. The install video was spot on and easy to follow. My only issue was, I struggled to get the top-middle screw lined up and tightened due to limited space between dash & mount. I am glad I took the video’s advice and installed the ball mounts prior to the install. I’ve only had the dash mount installed for a week - but so far I am impressed. I love the look and the flexibility it gives me. I wanted something I didn’t have to stick to the dash and if removed you wouldn’t be able to tell. This was perfect as the holes I had to drill will be hidden by the mat. Thank you BuilRight for another great product (also have and love the Bulkhead rail)!

First up, its easy to install. Second, their YT video is a textbook on how you do a guide. 10/10 Third, I'm in Canada and delivery was quick and zero issues. Most important, its properly good. This is solid and takes wasted space makes a modular deck that I'll stack full of Ram mounts.

CanadaJust a great quality solid dash mount
I bought this dash mount along with some other handy Builtright items as I really liked the overall descriptions and videos that Builtright has published. Well, the quality backs up the descriptions and this dash mount is as solid as they can be with the Pro option. I waited until I had all the peripherals I wanted to bolt onto the dash mount, as it is tight to get underneath the mount if it was already in place; so running wires and bolting the mounts and USB switch prior to installing this dash mount made installation a lot easier. It is finicky to get to the mounting bolts - even with a ball end allen key, but a little patience later and in it went, perfectly lined up after following the great install video, and hopefully for the first and last time. International shipping was quick and everything was well packaged to ensure there was no damage at all. I'm very happy with this dash mount - as well as the rear seat latch and console mount - they are all equally great quality and I would for sure recommend them to others.
