We've put together this kit, which is a selection of parts that we use in our own shop trucks along with the hardware you'll need to get it mounted securely to your BuiltRight Dash Mount.

This kit is NOT the low budget option - this is the BuiltRight option. These are commercial grade components with RAM's patented ball and socket system which are engineered to reduce vibration and shock transfer to your device.

Engineering

The popular spring-loaded RAM® X-Grip® phone holder features an 'X' design that expands and contracts to provide a perfect fit for your device – even if it's in a case. The large version of the RAM® X-Grip® fits phones ranging from 1.75" to 4.5" in width and keeps your device completely functional and accessible while the standard version fits phones ranging from 1.875" - 3.25". The included diamond ball base features the industry-standard AMPS hole pattern, while RAM® ball and socket technology allows for near-infinite adjustability to achieve the ideal viewing angle – and helps to extend the life of your phone by providing shock and vibration damping. For outdoor applications – like being used as a motorcycle phone mount – the RAM® X-Grip® includes a device tether that is recommended for added security and peace of mind.

Installation is quite simple using a few basic hand tools and all necessary parts and hardware are included.

Each dash mount design begins with 3D scanning of the truck and dash components. We check those scans against OEM CAD models to be safe and then design a mount that fits perfectly, functions well and blends in with the dash of the vehicle. Our goal is to add function to your dash, not an eyesore.

We examine the rigidity of the dash and the amount of deflection each Dash Mount sees during normal and extreme use with a goal of reducing movement and above all else, ensuring that in the event of an accident, your device stays within reach.

Perfection

This is exactly what is needed for the F250. All other mounts make you look down, or are in the way. With this mount all problems are solved.

As described

The holder works as described. I was a little put off by knowing I had to disassemble the dash to install it, but the instructions made it a readily doable job. I live and die by my phone for work, and am constantly using it while driving. The old suction cup holders only provide aggravation; the X-GRIP provides stout holding power and is a needed accessory for my daily safety. (note: Iphone 14 Pro Max fits well with regular case; is too tight with Otter Box)

Rock Solid!

You could drive off a cliff with this mount and your phone won’t move an inch. Absolutely no vibration while driving. Range of motion is great. The only reason I didn’t rate 5 stars is because the install is a real trick if you’ve already fixed the dash mount to your dash.

Ram phone holder and rack

It is well built and strong. My only complaint is that when the RamX is fully extended it has about 1/2 play so it tends tom move if I need to touch the phone.
