The Design Process
BuiltRight is an engineering company before all else and we're obsessed with great mechanical design. Each product has a story of ideas, innovation and iteration until it's just right.
Each dash mount design begins with 3D scanning of the truck and dash components. We check those scans against OEM CAD models to be safe and then design a mount that fits perfectly, functions well and blends in with the dash of the vehicle. Our goal is to add function to your dash, not an eyesore.
We examine the rigidity of the dash and the amount of deflection each Dash Mount sees during normal and extreme use with a goal of reducing movement and above all else, ensuring that in the event of an accident, your device stays within reach.

The main product & support plate were perfectly sized and quality material; the directions for removal of the center tray were also good. However, there were a few issues with installation. 1) marking for drilling; rear hole placement was easy to mark but the front proved difficult as you can’t very well get a marker thru the top plate to the holes. I had to cut the template drawing from the directions then punch holes in the drawing then mark the holes. Unfortunately this also cut up the directions! 2) recommendations were to install my device mounts on the Dash Mount before installing the Dash Mount to the vehicle tray. In my case this prevented getting to the front bolts from the top. I attempted to get to the front using the supplied Allen wrench but it proved impossible. The supplied wrench was too large and did not fit any of the bolt heads; it was a 1/8” and it required a 3mm

I love this product. I have a phone mount, iPad mini mount and a go pro hooked up. I forget the mount is there, but having my music, maps, and the ability to record when the wife and I are off pioneering somewhere is awesome. I never have to worry anything will fall with how secure it all feels. I can also move everything really quick and easily.

I have used the Dash Mount and X Grip Cell Phone holder for just under a year now. Of all the other products I've tried, none perform as well as these. Montana's notoriously rugged roads, especially in winter, challenge most holders. Other products simply cannot keep a grip on my devices over those bumpy paths. However, these mounts hold tight no matter how rough the terrain. I cannot recommend them enough. For those of us who feel at home in the mountains, they are truly game-changing. Finally, what made me pull the trigger on purchasing these was a previous review where the truck rolled over and the phones stayed put. Outstanding!

I have had this in for about a year now and I love it. I have my phone and RV rear view monitor attached and they are exactly where I need them; not sliding around between the seats or falling on the floor. The dash mount installed easily and securely, I have also since added the support plate. The Dash Mount integrated easily with 67 Designs' 20mm ball mounts and arms. Great job Builtright Industries I am glad I found you guys.

I saw this item on YouTube. Works great with my rear view camera monitor. The mount is rock solid. Even on rough roads it hasn't moved at all. Really easy to install.

I needed a place to install my ham radio (I will also be adding a phone mount to this as well) and this mount is exactly what I was looking for. Looks like it came with the truck, was easy to install and is very sturdy and secure. Because of my experience with this mount I started following BRI and have quite a wish list of products I want from them for my F150
